Field network engineering for industrial sites

Networks that hold up on remote industrial sites.

Switching and routing, last-mile links, outdoor and camp Wi-Fi, and security cameras for oil and gas, camps and industrial operations. Designed, configured and commissioned by someone with 30 years in oil and gas telecom.

What we do

Four parts of one site network.

On a remote site the link, the switches, the Wi-Fi and the cameras share the same power, the same backhaul and the same failure points. We design them together so one doesn't take down the others.

Switching & routing

Site networks that are built to a standard

Switches, routers, firewalls and VPNs designed and configured so control, camera, business and crew traffic each stay in their own lane.

Last-mile communications

Remote sites that stay connected

Starlink, LTE and 5G, private APN and point-to-point radio, with automatic failover and monitoring so you know a site is down before the crew calls.

Outdoor & camp Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi that covers the whole yard, pad or camp

Large-area outdoor coverage for yards, plants and pads, and camp Wi-Fi that holds up when every room is streaming after shift.

Cameras & surveillance

Eyes on gates, yards and equipment

IP cameras, recorders and remote viewing for industrial sites, on their own network and sized for the link you actually have.

Sound familiar?

Most clients call us after one of these.

  • A site dropped offline and you found out when the crew called in.
  • Camp Wi-Fi falls over every night when crews come off shift.
  • Equipment went missing from the yard and the cameras didn't catch it.
  • SCADA, cameras and office PCs all share one flat network.
  • Nobody has a current diagram, and the person who built it has left.
  • Every site was set up differently, so every fix is a truck roll.
Who we work with

Sites a long way from the office.

Oilfield service companies with rigs, field units and yards. Producers with wellsites, batteries, compressor stations and gas plants. Work camps and lodges. Forestry, mining, construction and municipal sites.

What they have in common: limited links, harsh conditions, nobody on site who owns the network, and real cost when it goes down.

The Triad mark: availability on top, then integrity, then confidentialityAIC
Why "Triad"

In the field, the security triad flips.

Information security rests on three principles: confidentiality, integrity and availability. In an office, confidentiality usually leads. On a remote site, a network that's down is the bigger risk.

Availability
Links up, failover tested, cameras recording, crews connected.
Integrity
Telemetry, control traffic and footage you can trust, on networks kept apart.
Confidentiality
No default passwords, no open remote access, credentials in your name.
How it works

Assess, design, commission, hand over.

  1. Site assessment

Links, switches, Wi-Fi, cameras and power checked against how the site is actually used.

  2. Design and quote

Diagrams, a vendor-neutral bill of materials and a written quote before any work starts.

  3. Commission

We configure and bring it up on site, with your electricians or our partner electrical firms, scheduled around operations.

  4. Hand-over

Diagrams, configs, test results and passwords handed to you. Optional monthly support after.

Technology we work with

Built around what works in the field.

  • Cisco
  • Juniper
  • Palo Alto Networks
  • Fortinet
  • Starlink
  • Ubiquiti
  • TELUS private APN
  • LTE / 5G failover
  • Point-to-point radio
  • IP cameras and NVRs
  • SCADA and telemetry networks

A sample, not a complete list. If you run something else, ask. Chances are we have worked with it.
